Natalie & Paul

In the ‘Good Book’, the rainbow is a sign of God’s covenant. How wonderfully appropriate to have had a rainbow in the sky as we took photos of Natalie and Paul. It was an immense privilege for us to join Natalie and Paul’s friends and family to witness and celebrate their covenant of marriage before God. It was quite apparent to all present that Natalie and Paul were not only united in love for each other, but also in their love of Jesus.

Thank you for trusting us to photograph your wedding day. Our heartfelt prayer is for the Lord’s blessing in your marriage – may His love enfold you and empower you to keep the covenant you have entered into as husband and wife.

Kelly & Shawn

Mack trucks, lots of trees and laid back, friendly folk – yes, it’s a country wedding! Susan and I (and yes, even our little Chloe) enjoyed the trip down to Manjimup for Kelly and Shawn’s wedding. Their unassuming nature and relaxed, friendly outlook made it a great day for all. The guys with their trucks were also very helpful and accommodating, happily moving and parking their trucks to fit the photo shoot. It was impressive to see them reverse and park their trucks with greater precision than Susan does in our much smaller car! (Gulp… hope Susan doesn’t read this.)

Thank you Natasha and Nick for allowing us to be a part of your day. We wish you all the best in your life together..

Sweet, vivacious Lizzie!

The opportunity to photograph Lizzie was simply delightful. It was our privilege to photograph Lizzie’s parents, Helen & Neil’s wedding. To make things even more special, Helen is Susan’s niece. All I can say is Lizzie is a sweet, vivacious little bub with a friendly disposition – I was particularly touched by the fact that Lizzie is one of the few bubs who has not cried when confronted by my dark, bearded face and loud voice! She is obviously a very discerning young person who is not fooled by appearances !!!

We are looking forward to their move from the UK to Perth next year and wish them every blessing as they prepare and plan for their life here down under. Hopefully Neil will learn to support Australia in Cricket and Rugby once over here!

A sneak peek for Maree & Goce

Well, with Maree & Goce’s permission we decided to put up a sneak peek of their wedding Album while we wait for it to return from the Album manufacturer. Maree and Gocee chose the photos they wanted, and Susan creatively designed the magazine layout for the Album. We hope Maree and Goce, along with their family and friends, enjoy the cherished memories of their special day which was our privilege to capture in these photos.

Snezana & Dejan

It was hot, it was humid and it was all worth it! Snez and Dejan’s love for each other was naturally transparent and made everything worthwhile. As to be expected, there certainly was much celebration both before and after the wedding service. Macedonians sure know how to party! It was a lovely opportunity for us to also say hello to friendly faces from past Macedonian weddings.

We wish Snez and Dejan every happiness in their life together as husband and wife

Julie & Kris

It was a fun time shooting Julie & Kris’ wedding even if the flies decided to gate crash the after wedding service shoot. At least it meant I wasn’t as loud mouthed as I could have been with flies buzzing about waiting to be swallowed. Having photographed Kris’ sister Kathy’s wedding, it was a real joy to be asked to photograph Julie and Kris’ special day. It was also great to catch up with familiar faces and try out my very limited Macedonian vocabulary!

We wish Julie and Kris every happiness in their marriage.

Girls & Boys Brigade Night: 2010

Susan had the privilege of photographing The Girls’ & Boys’ Brigades of Western Australia Awards Night for 2010 – having done so in 2009. She was again encouraged and inspired by the achievements of these young people and the outward expression of their Christian faith.

Snezana & Dejan

‘Snez’ and Dejan have been fun and very easy to get to know. They have a great sense of humour – well, at least they laugh at my jokes! – and were very relaxed at their pre-wedding shoot. So much so, our six year old Chloe had fun being allowed to also photograph ‘Snez’ and Dejan in our studio. Dejan thought Chloe did such a great job he even ordered a print of one she took of him. The pressure is now on for mum and dad to do equally well. After all, we can’t have a six year old out shoot us!

Fun aside, ‘Snez” and Dejan seem perfect for each other with ‘Snez’ being the beautiful calming influence to Dejan’s carefree jovial nature. We look forward to capturing their wedding day in a couple of weeks.

Keryn & Phil’s Special Day

It is always great to be invited to photograph a wedding as a result of a previous wedding. Having survived her previous encounter with us as a bridesmaid, Keryn was brave enough to have us photograph her marriage to Phil. I guess she must have liked our work. The weather was delightful and the bridal party were all fun and enthusiastic participants.

Rita and Peter and a 6yr old Photographer!

It was a relaxed and enjoyable afternoon photographing Rita and Peter’s wedding. A particular highlight was Rita and Peter’s fun and playful nature. They also have the distinction of having had one of the youngest wedding photographers ever! Chloe, our six year old daughter, has always wanted to ‘shoot a wedding with mum and dad’. Rita and Peter were very kind and welcoming, allowing Chloe to tag along and take some photos of their special day. I have included two of Chloe’s photos in this blog entry.

We wish every happiness in their life’s journey as husband and wife.

Two become one!

Monica and Rob’s marriage, as described during the wedding service, is in many ways the wonderful union of not only a man and a woman, but of Macedonian and Italian, Orthodox and Catholic – a beautiful expression of how the Good Book says the “two shall become one”. It was wonderful to see how friends and relatives from two diverse cultures and traditions were at one in their celebration of Monica & Rob’s public declaration of their love and intention to be one in marriage. One striking memory of the day – for me at least – was the way Susan, a seasoned wedding photographer, was moved to tears during a couple of very moving and tender moments during the speeches at the reception.
