Julie & Kris

It was a fun time shooting Julie & Kris’ wedding even if the flies decided to gate crash the after wedding service shoot.  At least it meant I wasn’t as loud mouthed as I could have been with flies buzzing about waiting to be swallowed.   Having photographed Kris’ sister Kathy’s wedding, it was a real joy to be asked to photograph Julie and Kris’ special day.  It was also great to catch up with familiar faces and try out my very limited Macedonian vocabulary!

We wish Julie and Kris every happiness in their marriage.

Keryn & Phil’s Special Day

It is always great to be invited to photograph a wedding as a result of a previous wedding.  Having survived her previous encounter with us as a bridesmaid, Keryn was brave enough to have us photograph her marriage to Phil.  I guess she must have liked our work.  The weather was delightful and the bridal party were all fun and enthusiastic participants.

Bride & GroomWe wish Keryn and Phil every happiness in their marriage.

Two become one!

Monica and Rob’s marriage, as described during the wedding service, is in many ways the wonderful union of not only a man and a woman, but of Macedonian and Italian, Orthodox and Catholic – a beautiful expression of how the Good Book says the “two shall become one”.   It was wonderful to see how friends and relatives from two diverse cultures and traditions were at one in their celebration of Monica & Rob’s public declaration of their love and intention to be one in marriage.  One striking memory of the day – for me at least – was the way Susan, a seasoned wedding photographer, was moved to tears during a couple of very moving and tender moments during the speeches at the reception.

We pray Monica and Rob will grow in love and be blessed in their journey through life together as husband and wife.

Maree & Goce

A typical Macedonian wedding is an all day affair full of tradition and celebration.  Maree and Goce’s day was no different and despite the long day they remained full of energy and enthusiastically allowed us to go about recording their special moments.  The weather was simply superb and lent itself to some wonderful photo opportunities.  Here are just some of the images we were able to capture for Maree and Goce to cherish and share with family and friends.

May their love and commitment grow and flourish in their marriage.

Rebekah & Anthony

What a wonderful trip it was driving down to Manjimup to shoot Rebekah and Anthony’s wedding.  Despite the forecast of rain, there was only the slightest hint of a few drizzles, not enough to get in the way of a lovely wedding ceremony .  It was a terrific rural wedding.  A very laid back affair with plenty of country humour and friendliness.  Here are just some of the images we were able to capture on Rebekah and Anthony’s special day.

May the joy and meaning of that eventful day continue throughout their marriage.

Karen & Martin – simply relaxed!

Karen and Martin Wedding - Shaggy Dog ProductionsI am so glad I was able to tag along on Karen and Martin’s wedding day! I was sick in bed the day Karen and Martin met with Susan to finalise the booking for their wedding photos. There was even some doubt if I would make it on the day.

Their wedding was one of the most relaxed we have had the privilege of shooting. It was a simple, unassuming affair which delightfully celebrated Karen and Martin’s love and heartfelt devotion towards each other.

We pray their life together will be richly blessed as they journey through life as husband and wife.

All in the family …

Helen and Neil Wedding - Shaggy Dog ProductionsWhat an absolute delight and privilege it was to have been given the opportunity to photograph Susan’s niece, Helen’s wedding. And what a joy it was to see both Helen and Neil beaming with smiles throughout the whole ceremony. This was indeed a great day for all to join in the celebration of their life together as husband and wife.

Even the down pour of rain couldn’t stifle their exuberance during the post wedding shoot. Many a bride have been know to be devastated by the on set of rain, but Helen, along with Neil, simply took it in their stride and happily allowed us to adapt the planned photo shoot for the wet conditions.

You will excuse the large numbers of photos included in this blog, but I am exercising an uncle’s right to be a tad indulgent – and yes, I have even sneaked in a few photos of young Chloe, who was counting down with excitement and anticipation the number of sleeps to her cousin Helen’s wedding day.

We pray their life together will be richly blessed with love and happiness..

Michelle & Ivan’s day …

Michelle and Ivan Wedding - Shaggy Dog ProductionsWell, as expected, we had a terrific time photographing Michelle and Ivan’s wedding. The overnight forecast said showers were to be expected, but for the most part the rain held and we were able to move about without worrying too much about the rain. The slight drizzle we experienced was a bonus as it gave us a wonderful rainbow as a photographic backdrop.

It was a rather long day for Michelle, Ivan and their bridal party. Yet they were willing and fun participants in the shoot and made our job easy and enjoyable.

We pray their life together will be richly blessed with love and happiness..

From my teacher to my photographer

Brooke and Shannon Wedding - Shaggy Dog ProductionsI still remember the delightful surprise on Susan’s face when Brooke, a former student from her high school teaching days, rang to enquire about our wedding photography service.

Needless to say it was lovely to catch up with Brooke and Shannon, and to be trusted with the responsibility of photographing their wedding day.

You just never know what life has in store and how people’s paths may cross. In Susan’s case, some ten years after being Brooke’s teacher, here she was being Brooke’s wedding photographer.

Marina & Peter

Marina and Peter Portrait - Shaggy Dog Productions
It was a welcome surprise when Peter rang to book us for his wedding. Having clicked with him at a previous wedding, in which he was a groomsmen, we were thrilled by the prospect.

We particularly enjoyed the creative challenge of shooting in low light conditions and trying to capture Marina and Peter against the beautifuuly lit backdrop of Perth’s cityscape.

We wish them all the best in their journey through life together.

A Collage

Wedding Collage - Shaggy Dog ProductionsSome photos easily lend themselves to a presentation which is slightly outside the box! To help our clients better visualise the creative possibilities, we have begun to produce some A3 size sample collages as proofs for viewing. This is one I prepared for Kathy and David when they came to view a slideshow of their wedding photos.
